Might try something new

What do you guys think? I am thinking about waterfowl hunting this year with my bow. I am going to try and get out this weekend. I'll let you guys know how it goes. I doubt I'll get many, but it will be awesome to get some with my bow. ;)

That sounds like a challenge. Will you shoot them fromthe air or off the ground?

Wow, that's a definate challenge! I watched some guys pheasant hunt once with flu-flu arrows. Sure looked like alot of fun.

Probably both. On the ground is still a challenge seeming how geese have great vision and most of my shots will be between 25 and 50 yards. But I plan to take some in the air when they are cupped and coming in.;)

Good luck and keep us posted. I have thought about this in the past but I don't think I could shoot in the air. Ground shots only for me. What type of broadhead are you going to use?

I would check the Federal regulations on migratory birds. I'm pretty sure that it is illegal to shoot any resting bird (ie. one that is not in flight).

The only exception would be a wounded bird retrieval. Even then, you'd better be careful when the Feds are around.;)
