RE: just when every was going good
I've never had a release go bad on me, I guess I change them too often for that. However, I am currently using the one I think will last a while before I change it out... the Scott Rhino. I like it because it hooks onto the string, or loop, instead of clamping around it and I can do it without looking. Very smooth and reliable.

I had this problem with my Scott Caliper. Is there a screw that you can adjust the sensitivity of the trigger with? If so try tightning that.

RE: just when every was going good
I've been there!! I had 2 different releases bust while i was drawing back, and both times I smacked myself in the face so hard, I had a black and blue eye. The first time it happened, i punched mysef so hard, I fell flat on my ass. That sucks! I need to learn to pull away from my face while drawing back.[:@]

I've never heard of a release going bad. How long have you had it? I can't imagine you could wear a release out. I'd look for a tension screw and see if it can be adjusted. If not I suggest a truball tornado glove(my personal favorite).
