I met Roger Raglin today.

There was a customer appreciation today at our local bowshop.
Roger and his wife were there. He was there all day and did a seminar. He gave a great seminar with good stories. He took time for everyone no matter who they were. I am a fan now. He was a class act.

Did he tell some good stories about all the deer he's shot from the inside of a 15' high fence?

AMEN JZARR!!!!! I do not think you can call yourself a "hunter" if you hunt penned deer. I do not care how big the property is, that is still not wild deer.

I'm not trying to bring on any heat for this, but how do you know he's killed his deer inside a fenced area. He lives around 25 minutes from my house here in northeast Oklahoma and I got to meet him last year. He seemed like a nice enough guy. I saw his trophy room and it was unbelievable. I've never seen so many P/Y and B/C deer taken by one guy. I know he travels to Canada and several states each year deer hunting, but this is the first I've ever heard of him hunting penned up animals. If that's true, I just lost alot of respect for the man.

I apologize for the thread. I did not know this about him.

Did anyone see the show last week where people were hunting elk in missouri. I didn't know Missouri had elk. I thought they just had the usual, turkey, deer, sasquatch.

Were the people in Missouri hunting a WMA? We've got elk here in Oklahoma on several of the WMA's. Each year residents and I'm not sure but I think non-residents can apply for a drawing to hunt these elk.

I like Roger, anybody who hunts big deer is ok with me. I have some of his videos and they are full of huge bucks taken in Sask. and a few hunts from deep south Texas.

There is an elk ranch in deep mid-missouri that you can get onto. You pay by the pound and it's expensive!

They also have sasquatch hunts!

I think Raglin is a class act myself. He may hunt some penned animals but not all have been. He still looks like he's getting excited about every kill and it's not just another deer, like so many other shows are doing. I will continue to watch his videos and hope to meet him sometime.

I would have to agree with the comments on him being a pen hunter,, and I do have a very reliable source on this, not just speculation. And for Missouri,, no we dont have elk here except on game ranches with high fences, just like the one right down the road from me. And no we dont have many sasquatch,, it was me trying to croos the road and got spotted:D

My own experience with Roger Raglin, let's just say was a big ................pffffft.[&o]

1st day of the Harrisburg Sport Show a few years back and he didn't have the time of day for ANYONE who wanted to speak to him except some product reps.

I can't comment on the "Penned" hunts, I have no knowledge of that stuff......but I will say that some of the deer in videos look a little less than "Spunky";)

I think I remember one gigantic deer that is walking almost under him and he's not very high to begin with and he either drops his binos or his rattling horns and they go crashing down right in front of the deer and it acts like nothing happened?
Another time he's about 5 yards from another monster on the ground kneeling behind a tree making all sorts of movements and the deer is clueless as he leans around to draw and shoot.

99.9% of the deer ANY deer I've hunted in PA and lesewhere would have turned themselves inside out running into the next state with some of the stuff he does on the tapes.

Thats because you have 1 million hunters going for that deer. :) Its not like that on private land, weather its high fenced or not.
