Any Finger Shooters out there???
 

I was just curious if any of you shoot with fingers? I've put a couple of questions out there regarding finger shooting and I've received very few replies.

I use fingers with my recurve but I use a release with my compound

I prefer a release because its more accurate. Although the first deer I ever shot at was with my fingers only because I forgot to put my release on once I got up in the tree, and I missed the deer completely.

Yup. Never have shot as well with a release as I do with fingers.

hey, il trophy hunter, another fingers shooter here...i finally bit the bullet and let go of the mech release this year. man, what a great feeling...now, i'm looking for other ways to simplify my set-up...i think the peep will be gone for next season. i can't wait to get out in the woods and get an opportunity at a deer. good luck this season!

I'm guilty of finger shooting too. Been doing it with a compound for 15yrs. Just shot the VBA Fall Classic 3D and shot better than 70% of the release shooters from the same stake using my hunting bow. It puts out a smoking 245fps 2314. Kinda hurt the guys I was shooting withs feelings.:D:D

I recently stopped using the little leather finger grip....to just plain old fashion finger skin. Probably its mental...but I shoot much much more consistently using fingers with my compound.

I always shot with my fingers it makes my accuracy just about dead on everytime :D
