Never shot a bear...but..
Will my setup work on black bear?
I shoot Beaman ICS Hunter 400's tipped with Rocket Stealhead 100's at 252 fps. If I crank it up to 70, it would be faster.
I have been seeing bear at one of my treestands and have had to wait for hours to come down......just to be sure they are gone.
I know I'd like to harvest one with my bow someday...but would want to make sure my setup will do well first.
If my arrows or broadheads are unsuitable....what is?

How many lbs are you shooting at now? Make sure those 400's are still ok at 70lbs. You might need to switch to the 340's.

I'm at 60 now...what do I look for with my 400's when I switch to 70? Getting ready to go to shop now. I mean...like how will I know if I have to switch to 340's?

But I'm sure the pro-shop will be able to give you a definative answer.
