I'm was 16 then turned 17 during the season I think that counts for a youngster:D. Well heres my story...
Last year I think I set a record for michigan. I think I'm the only one ever to get a deer in every month. We have a sept. youth season so you must be 16 and under to even begin to match what I did. Second you have to get a deer with your bow in Oct. (See pic below for first bowkill) Then you must shoot one sometime in Nov. and then another in Dec. Know heres the tricky one Jan. 1st is the only day that anyone can get a deer in that month. I was succesful in all five of the months and I don't think anybody else has done that because not only would they have to be 16 and under but they would have to get a deer on Jan 1st as well as all the other months. I'm not trying to brag I just thought this would be an interesting story. Last year I had one miss and then I spooked a HUGE buck drawing my bow. A couple days later I arrowed this buck and it was my first bowkill! ![]() |

Personnally, I would have had to include Lens' Triple with the bow within a 30 second time period. The doe is not shown. But, since he wasn't included... I'll find someone else to vote for.

lol just notice there was a second page, ok here are a few of my stories,
Im also 17, but im pretty sure i havent broken any hunting records, but here are my stories anyways. my 2003 archery season started turkey season april 15th, I spent about 5 days in the blind before i finaly had a nice tom within range, i hit him in the wing and he went about 30 yards, the next one was about 2 weeks later, I was on my way to the archery shop when i noticed a tom and a bunch of hens out on the edge of a feild i have permision to hunt, i look in my car, and both my bow and a camo shirt where in there, but no calls:( but i figured id give it a try anyways, well i noticed a bush about 40 yards from where they all where, i snuck up behind the bush and drew my bow and step out from one side, they spotted me and the tom came out of strut and started walking away from me at about 40 yards, i knew i could make the shot so i took it, hit him center of the spine and he was down for the count, the next up in my 2003 season was a bear, I had just come back from bear hunting and i was insdie getting some lunch when my little brother came running inside yelling, he told me he had seen a bear in a apple tree about 1/2 mile from are house, i grabed my bow and took off, i snuck up on him still in the tree and waiting for him to come down, i hit him through both lungs at about 33 yards and he only went about 10 feet. the next day at about 4 pm i climbed in a ground blind of mine in a ditch in the center of a alfalfa feild, about 6:30 a nice what i thought was a 8 pnt came by, i was drawing my bow to shoot him when i noticed he was missing his entire right side, so i let down and let him go, about 20 mins later about 6 bucks came walking by, i shot the biggest of the bunch a 4+4 at 35 yards double lunged him and he went about 50 yards, last but not least was my 2003 elk hunt, i went with a buddy of mine who works in sportmans warehouse, we only had the day to hunt so we drove up in the moutains about 5 in the AM and listened for bugles, the only ones we heard where about 4 miles away, we figured we had no better lead so we started that way, he bugle the entire time as we covered the first 3 miles, but stop after that, we spent the day glassing clear cuts and walking logging roads, but never saw a elk, as dusk was coming on that evening we found a heavly used deer trail and decided to sit near it till dark, about 45 mins before dark we heard anlters coming through the brush, we got all ready, and out came a bull moose, well we wcouldent shoot it, but it was fun to watch, by that time we had about given up hope of seeing a elk then all the sudden i looked over my buddies shoulder and there is this bull elk just standing there about 60 yards out, we waiting for him to turn broadside at 3o yards, i shot and clipped a branch and my arrow kicked over its back. he spooked to about 50 yards, my friend took the shot and his arrow went out of the bow all weird so we thought he missed, but when we went to get are arrows there was blood all over his and blood everywhere on the ground, we tracked him about 400 yards before we found him, his arrow had clipped is juggular vain:D talk about lucky. well that was my 2003 season some of the pics on on my photo album here here is http://www.picturevillage.com/photo/...023&uuid=14770 |
