Can you guess the size of this buck?
 

Anyone care to take a stab at guessing the size (score) of the buck in this picture? I can tell you that it is an 8 pointer. Just trying to end some friendly bickering between to hunting buddies.

I would have to say that buck probably would score 130-140 with 18-20 inch spread.

Pretty small pic! I think he's bigger than everyone else. I'm gessing closer to 160". Brow tines look about 5-6" g2 look to be at least 12". That's a nice buck!

He is pretty tall, not real wide, but he might have some mass that the pic isnt showing.........i would say around 160"

I am not so sure I even see a g3 on his right main beam. That would be definitely a score killer.

He looks to be around 140 to me if he is indeed an 8 point.

I'd have to guess these guy's are under estimating this buck I'll guess at 150 +.

I'm guessing 130-140 also. His inside spread is not 18", maybe 14. Nice deer, brows look good, height looks good, mass good too, nice deer.

I also think you all are underestimating. I think he might push 160.

I cannot understand where these 150 and 160's are coming from. Its a nice buck a good shooter, but it takes a BIG 8 pointer to even go 140 let alone 160.

24 inch main beams
5 inch brows
12 inch g2's
5 inch g3's

18 inch inside spread.

Maybe 14 inches of mass per side.

138 inches

I feel I was generous with all the nubers as well.

Now you still can't think he is 160 class.

This 13 pointer grosses 163 inches. Look at the heavy mass throughout and good main beams and tine length. Are you really saying that 8 pointer scores the same as this deer?

I am not trying to thread hijack but trying to relay a point. So many people WAY over estimate antler score. People don't relize how big 140 inches really is. Hardly ever do you see someone UNDERESTIMATE a score.[&:]

Yup, over estimate, its too easy to do.

Here is a buck with a 19" spread, i think he grosses around 125?

There is no way that buck in the pick is near 150, let alone 160, like the man said, it takes a hell of a four point to hit 140.

I still say that deer is closer to 14-15" inside than anything else, still a nice deer.

I think that buckeyebuckhntr came the closest except for the 5'' G-3's and the 18'' spread. Its actually 20'' spread with 4'' G-3's. Thanks for all that posted!. We have decided that he is about 140'' gross and that since he is only 3 years old we will let him go to the next season and if he doesn't grow any more points or doesn't get any bigger then...............
