Anybody ever seen a black whitetail?
 

Actually, I guess the correct term is melanistic, but has anybody seen one? I guess they're rarer than rare.

I have seen a few pie-balds and 2 albinos...but have never even heard 2nd hand of a black deer.

There was one mounted in a small backwoods gas station that we used to stop in from time to time. I always thought the guy died the hair...LOL

I've only seen the pic's of a Melanistic buck . But of corse I'd love to see one walking by my treestand.

never black i did have a nasty grey color come in to my stand once out of a swamp

My father-in-law was driving down I-77 and seen a bunch of people pulled over taking pictures he said he slowed down to see what they were taking pictures of and he said it was black and it had horns but not sure what it was.

It's real. I saw it in a magazine. I think it was Deer Hunter, or something like that.

Guy that shot it thought it was a calf until it got real close. LOL

seen that pic in north american whitetail! Its real. Pretty crazy.
