I wonder how many of you also shoot mathews

Both are good stands but IMO its more of a personality issue and how easily one is influenced by the media Brand recognition etc.

Lets not try and be too cocky fellas, we all live in the same tree!

Hey guys, sorry I'm just getting back to you. Here's what I don't like about my API:

-carrying. the straps don't hold it together tight enough so it makes noise when I'm carrying it.
-setting up. those pins are a pain in the butt in the dark, in the light, whenever. they're noisy and hard to find the hole (insert joke here)
-foot adjustment. what a pain that is, I like those foot harness things that Summit has

and the last thing is, mine is a bowhunter. I thought it would be easier to shoot from without the frint bar, and it is. But climbing in that thing using just your arms is a pain. Now I'm a fit guy but when you have to adjust the foot part a few times while you're hanging there it's just a pain. I'm sweating buckets by the time I get up in that thing.

Think Summit is the way to go.

Thanks for the support from most of you!

Oh, and just for the record I shoot a PSE. I own 4 fixed position stands, names from Hunter's View to Gorrilla. So the name isn't too important to me.

The only tree that I could climb was a persimmon and that thing squeaked on that persimmon bark so bad it pathetic. I had to stand up all day cause everytime I sat down or stood up that stand would squeak.
If you file the powder coat off of the ends of the teeth it will silence the squeak from the tree bark.

Thanks for the info but I think I'll just stick with my API. I don't have to file anything for it to be quiet
