RE: One eye or both

|
RE: One eye or both
I shoot both ways.
3-D set up I shoot one eye shut;) Hunting setup both eyes open:) |
RE: One eye or both
How do you find out which eye is dominant? Just curious.
|
RE: One eye or both
Both open. I find it make shooting easier in low light.
|
RE: One eye or both
put your left hand out, and then put yoru right over it to forma triangle with the part of yoru hand from your forefinger to yoru thumb. focus an object like a clock in it with both eyes open and if it lines up perfect with one eye thats yourdominant eye.
i shoot with my left eye partially shut becuase im left eye dominant and right handed. slayer |
RE: One eye or both
I shoot with both open.
Stalker, point at something, anything, and close your left eye, open it, and close your right eye. Whichever eyes causes the target you are pointing at to move, is your subordinate eye. |
RE: One eye or both
I shoot both ways and results do not vary for me to one eye or both open. However I do suggest you learn to shoot with both eyes open it makes a world of difference in low light situations.

RE: One eye or both
ORIGINAL: bwhunter501 I shoot one eye open because i dont shoot with my dominant eye.:D |
RE: One eye or both
I shoot with one eye open. I am right handed and left eye dominant and when I try to shoot with both eyes open, well lets just say it's not pretty.:D
shoot both ways. 3-D set up I shoot one I shut Hunting setup both eyes open |
RE: One eye or both
How do you keep from subconsciously closing one of them in the thick of things? During the 3-D shoots it is just automatic to shut one eye. It just falls in line with the rest my form and anchoring. Through repetition I just do it[8D] |
RE: One eye or both
I shoot with both eyes open, seems to help me out.
|
RE: One eye or both
Both eyes open ;)
|
RE: One eye or both
I shoot with both eyes open although sometimes it looks like I'm shooting with both eyes closed.:D
|
RE: One eye or both
Whenever I start thinking about shooting both eyes open I always try it and my lefteye kind of takes dominance and the peep dissapears? Any suggestions.

RE: One eye or both
One eye open (left eye dominant, left handed). If I try to open my right eye, I see two targets, or two sets of pins, or bizarre freaky things. ;)
Even in the Coast Guard, way way back in the days of bootcamp.... I remember, I just COULD NOT shoot the M16 righty. I was one of those "special recruits" where the had to clip a shroud of some sort onto the ejection port, so I wouldn't get biffed by ejecting shells. Anyway, I shot the M16 lefty and qualified easily with it. My old PSE bow is a lefty model. My Remington 870 12GA is a lefty model. But my old Marlin Model 60 .22 is righty (which doesn't really matter shooting it lefty - I just learned to hold my right elbow down bit when I was a kid. Butch A. |
RE: One eye or both
Both eyes open.
|
RE: One eye or both
One eye open for now. I have thought about keeping both open but I will wait and work on that for another year.
|
RE: One eye or both
Right handed bow, left eye dominant. Trained myself to shoot with both eyes open, now if I close one, it's way to dark. Whatever works for you, but try to master both open, it's a whole new world when you can.

RE: One eye or both
two are better than one
|
RE: One eye or both
Both eyes open. It took awhile to get used to it, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Now it seems that it's hard to see much when I shoot with one eye closed.
|
RE: One eye or both
Both eyes open. No pun intended but you'll see what you've been missing. Faster target acquisition, too.
|
RE: One eye or both
Both open, but i do squint my left eye a little.
|
RE: One eye or both
I shoot with one eye open
