I have a safety belt that came with the lone wolf and I have a question about it. The shoulder straps are not adjustable and they seem to be a little loose. Would this be an issue if I wore it under a coat?

I wear mine under the coat in the later part of the season when ir gets cold, and the shoulder straps fit loose just as you described. I have no problems.

Kimber, it should be said that the best and only harness is not the seat-o-the-pants, as there are quite a few on the market that will serve the purpose of preserving your safety. BUT, I would agree that if you are looking for a harness that is as safe as it gets, and probably as easy as it gets, the the 'seat' is for you. I, like most others did in here (unless they were smart enough to ask on a board like this prior to buying! ) purchased a cheaper full-body and regretted it. I didn't regret it once I got it on, but I tell ya what, I felt like a toddler learning to talk when I first tried it....FRUSTRATED. I kid you not when I tell you I had to ask my wife for help the first 5 or 6 times I put it on, because there were straps and buckles going every which direction.
Point being, get a harness...doesn't matter which as long as it's a full-body, but if you have the dough go with the 'seat'.

Ameristep makes a good quality ,affordable full harness safty restraint . Forget the single belt style harness , and get a full body style . The vest is great allso , but youll pay about 3 times the cash for it .
