Carbons and inserts?

I'm useing my first set of carbon arrows this year but my inserts seem to come out.I used Flex Tite to glue them. What did I do wrong?

I have never used Flex Tite to glue them in. I have always used good ol' two part epoxy. I have never had an insert come out or even become loose. I have also heard of people using straight super glue.

It's a good idea to rough up the inside of the carbons a bit... then clean them out, (use alcohol or acetone on a cotton swab), before installing the inserts. There is a tool to do this, but I've used a new, (not oiled), .243 bore brush to do the job. Just make sure you don't choose a brush that is too big for the I.D. as it could damage the shaft.

As far as glue, use a slow setting, (12 or 24 hour), two part epoxy. It's the way to go for keeping them put. The 5 minute expoy can dry too fast and become brittle.

I use a glue called Super Jet for building RC airplanes it works really well. The last time I assembled arrows I ran out of Super Jet so I went to the carry-out and bought some super glue off the shelf and it seemed to work fine too.

I'm like sumhunter,Two part epoxy is the way to go.I use it on my Gold Tips and have not had any trouble.A friend of mine says gorilla glue is the best but I have never tried it.;)
