ok i purchased a bow for very cheap from a friend. I also got a few arrows. The bow is a PSE team fitzgerald draw length-27,peak weight 55 pounds. For the little i paided for it i guess i can learn on it. The draw length needs to be longer but its not far off. It came with a an arrow rest and pin sights and quiver. The arrows are very use and a little short. they are easton 2018. xx75 camo hunter. What i need advice on is is there a inexpenisve way to lengthen the draw length. another what is a length longer for the arrow i dont know what increments they come in....... Broad heads advice for deer...... Our deer season starts soon and we can put corn out.. most of where i hunt i am real close to the deer anyway within 40 yards cause it kinda evens the field out. I plan on taking out some does with this new qdma thing we have going so. Help..... Thanks

most times you can adjust the draw length by taking it to a pro shop.

I agree with wes. If you go to a proshop they should help you with all of that. A few answers though.
1. The draw length "should" be an easy fix at a decent shop
2. If I remember right the xx75's are aluminum. I would switch to some carbons bemans or goldtips possibly. Also decided if you want feathers or vanes.
3. Put an arrow on your string and draw it back have someone mark with a marker about 1/4 inch past the arrow rest. Then measure from the tip (with out a field point or broadhead in) to the inside of the knock.
4. Most on here stick to Muzzy 3 blades their dependable and for starters they are not to expensive.
5. You may want to invest in a release they don't cost too much and for a comound bow it's very helpful.
6. Realize that 40 yards is a longer shot. Most deer are taken closer to 20-30 yards. Before you go out there and start slinging arrows remember your Hunting not Hurting. Practice practice practice.

Take it to a shop they will send you in the right direction. They should fit the bow for you, and even get it in tune for you. All you have to do is show up with plenty money.
