I have had really good results useing a NAP shockwave, 100 grain. so much success I don't really look at any other mechanical. I do own one scorpion, however, I have never shot it at a deer yet. I would expect it to fly and preform as good as a shockwave.

I have used shockwaves for 2 seasons, and the black rubber bands aggravate me. So I'm looking at the XP's, and the grim reapers look good as well.

Well lets see here. i dont have grim reapers nor have i heard anything about them good or bad. i do have the scorpions. i was very skeptical about mechanicals. i got them as a gift so i had no choice in it. i did much testing here at my place to make sure that they opened and penetrated. after my research i found that they open EVERY TIME. they also penetrate quite well. they went in both my targets the same as my golden key dead heads, but my nuge blades beat the dead heads and xp's. so i say that the xp's are very dependable.

I have only shot the grim reapors. They work well for me. I used to shoot Muzzy 3 blades, but i am sticking with my grim reapors.

RE: Grim Reapers vs. Scorpion XP

i got the scorpions last year because they look basically similar to a spit fire with a razor tip. ive killed a few with the spitfires but i did loose out on a monster of a buck last year with the scorpions i feel do to a quartering away shot that went wrong either placement or the broadhead not doing its thing on an angle shot. 2 days of tracking and i couldnt figure it out so im trying the grim reapers this year because the main blades are set back a little further than the scorpions or spitfires. this is supposed to help with not throwing off the blades by only one hitting first and making the arrow do funky stuff. usually i will try not to make any fancy angle shots but with expandables i would rather have perfect broadside from my experience.
