Dont get me wrong, Im not going to mechanicals just as the easy way out, but I just want to make the change...

Any more opinions?

Try the NAP's Scropion XP the difference between them and most other mechancials is the Scropions have a cut on impact point instead of just a chisel point. However, I shoot 75 gr Muzzy's and they hit where my field tips hits so..................but if I were to change I go to the Scropions

there really isn't a most accurate mechanical broadhead. If your bow is tuned to shoot a decient hole thru paper, generally speaking just about any mechanical will fly well. If you don't have a good hole thru paper and the arrow is swimming to the target than you are not going to get the best preformance out of any head.

Just like the fixed ones the tip is a consideration. Muzzy has a triocluar chisel tip know for it's bone busting. A mechanical with a chisel type tip will bust bone a bit better than one with a cut on contact head.
Size of the blades seems to concern some. I have had good luck with the 1 1/4 inch size. Others feel it is necessay to have a larger cut. The larger you go the more KE required.

Broadheads that fly well for me after a bullet hole thru paper is achieved.
Nap shockwave, it has a chisel type tip and is a good bone buster if need be.
Nap scorpion flays well, have not taken a deer with one yet.
The smaller one inch size fixed blades fly and impact right with everything else. Nap nitro, slick trick, ultimate steel to name a few.
Magnus stingers work well for me also. I've decided to try these out of the ground blind this year.

That's what works for me, don't see why it won't work for everyone.

i'm thinking about mechanicals this year..sptifires, steelheads, and rocky mountain snypers are high on my list..

I've had no problems with the Rocket Steelhead 100. Gave them a try due to an article I read in Petersen's Bowhunting that compared quite a few different heads to include fixed blade and mechanical in a field test. Steelhead came out on top, but that was a few years ago.

I use Steelhead 100's. and do not have any problems with them. I have the chisel head and shot through my buck last year. I have used spitfire in the past and never got through the 3 deer I shot with them. Maybe the shot, hit or mechanical. Not sure, but I dont use them anymore.

The most accurate mechanical? Probably the Rocky Mtn. Snyper.
I have used Spitfires on many deer and one bull elk and they worked
great.

I used the Snypers last season on two deer and a turkey. They are great in my book. Won't change now.

Give the Grim Reapers a try...I was very impressed. Does a great job on deer. Pass thru....10 yards and down.
