RE: WITCH BOOTS??????

The LaCrosse Alpha Burly Sports are awesome boots. Extremely lighweight and comfortable boots and an excellent design through and through. They now offer an 800 gram insulated version in BPS, if you're intereseted in more warmth. These boots certainly earn a 5 star rating from me, check 'em out.

if you have rubber boots that do have a rubber odor whats the best way to get rid of the scent
or do i need to just put some rubber at my stand so the deer get used to the smell
where i hunt isnt to far from a community so im pretty sure that the deer get alkinds of wierd smells

Muck boots all the way! They are very lightweight and comfortable. I've got the Fieldmaster. It's not insulated. I don't believe I've ever had a rubber boot that didn't have somewhat of a rubber smell to me. I would imagine that with the acute sense of smell that deer possess, they too can smell them. All I ever do is just spray down with an odor neutralizer and take off.

I know NOTHING about the Muck... but I do own a pair of Alpha Burlys. Love 'em. They're the first pair of rubber boots that didn't make my feet sweat like I just stepped out of the shower.

The LaCrosse Alpha Burly's come in a 1000 gram model too not just uninsulated and 800's. I just picked up the 1000's yesterday.

RE: WITCH BOOTS??????

Just received my first pair of Muck boots last week. Every pair of rubber boots I have owned have cracked and split somewhere along the calf. Mucks are only rubber in the foot area and the calf is some type of foam that is waterproof. I don't wear these kind of boots for scent control, I wear a gortex sock for that, the boot is for the 12-15" streams I cross. Here's thier web page.

I love my muck boots, they are comfy. I have worn them in all kinds of weather conditions and haven't had any problems at all.
