I visit St. Ignace a couple times a year, I'll be hunting in Menominee this Fall, and if I could find a job that pays the same as the one I have here in Ohio I would be a Yooper.

Born and raised in Calumet, way up in the Copper Country, and settled about 1 1/2 hours south in Ishpeming Twp in da ol Marquette County. Bessemer is down in the tropic heat belt of the UP eh! We are a little more of a hearty folk up here;):D. Nice to see another Yooper here.

Grew up in the U.P. in Houghton Michigan and went to Northern Michigan University. I use to play hockey against Bownutty. Live in Texarkana Texas now but get back to the U.P. about once a year. Cygan C.VanTassel here!

I'm a troll but have been hunting the western U.P. since the age of 14, (my dad started hunting up there in the late 40’s). Will be up there the 3rd week of October. I hunt the area just south of South Republic.

I remember seeing your team up at Tech practicing or something a handfull of year back on the news. When did we ever play against each other? I think you might be right you left before you finished highschool didn't you. I played against your brother my last 2 years of highschool and have not seen him since me, him and Dave Mick were running the strip in Marquette. Tell him I said high when you talk to him. If you ever need to get out of the snow get a group together and come on down. I just bought a ranch with a partner 350 acres high fenced with wild boar, rams, fallow, red stag, and various other exotics. Have a camphouse on the place for clients. And of course you know there will be a huge Yooper discount on all animals.

Sounds pretty sweet Colby! I have to admit, I shoot a Legacy also. I guess I let the cat out of the bag on this forum. I tried not to enter the Mathew's owner hated club, but I have had two of them and love them! I know you have a sauna on your property. Come on Legacy, he is from the UP.

Red Rcket long necks, pasties, sauna, and hunting with a couple of old drunk hockey players. Sounds scarry, but man it sounds like a blast!

Well, at the camp we have a sauna.......and an outhouse. I'd be lying if I said I didnt want one at home too :D Yes, that sounds like a good time...... however, i wont bring the 300pd toothless women this area seems to breed :eek:

Ya got a Yooper eer. Live in Dickinson County, Quinnesec to be exact. Wasn't born here but have been here most of my 30 years and would never give up gods country for anything!!! Pasties, saunas, good beer, good stories and most of all, great hunting!!!! I even have dat der accent to eh!!!

Give a shout out to Ano and Toivo!!! Two camp loving, beer drinking deer hunting old fellas. As Yooper as de come!!!

Ya I got a sauna down here just walk outside from June to September it is hot enough to melt the beer gut off Bruce Coppo!

I work in Iron Mountain and live on the menominee river. If I look out my front window all I can see is the U.P. But I am on the Packer side of the river.:)

Dave the U.P. is on the Packer side of the Mackinac bridge. Lion fans live down state packer fans live in the U.P. You know that Greenbay is the capital of the U.P.

HaHa. I know that a few of us are Lion fans up here. Mathewsboy and myself for sure. We arent from WI, why should we root for them? Besides, their fans use terms like 'we' when referring to the packers. I've yet to see any of them suit up for the game. GOOO Lions.

Legacy I would expect a Hoyt shooter to be a Lions fan but not a mathews man. I will let you slide on the lions fan because obviously you have eaten a bad pastie and your decision making ability has been impared. Any guy that shoots a legacy is still ok in my book. Best thing about the lions is they give the Packers a automatic 2 wins a year.
