Biological scent control
I stopped reading the thread about scent-lok type charcoal scent control, so this may be covered there. What is your opinion about the other types of scent control garments that claim to prevent scent by stopping the bacterial formation, etc? Does it work? What is the longevity of the garment? Can it be "recharged?" Just curious.

RE: Biological scent control
From my experience, my scent blocker suit really works. Since I've worn it, i've never had a deer wind me no matter what the wind. Again, this is my experience. My garments can be 'recharged' by washing them, while others are done by drying them. I believe the lifespan is 10 years if i'm not mistaken. The only downside I see is they are pretty spendy. I'm sure some of the old timers will contradict this but what the hey :)

RE: Biological scent control
I have an AbScent union suit for warmer weather ,
but I can't tell you if it works or not . I normally shower before going afield , so the Triclosan in the bodywash I use is doing most of the work anyway . During colder weather I wear an Army MOPP suit , which contains a lot of carbon , and it definitely works . Scent Lok is a scam , it does wear out and you cannot really "reactivate" it . Scent Blocker is in the same league , sorry . |
