Buckskin...first impressions

Yep...broke down and bought a new Buckskin tonight. I got a Trophy Ridge Dropzone (SWEET...never had one) mounted up. Shot 250-252 through the chronograph with 28" Draw/65 LBS and 26.5" Easton ICS Hunter (400) arrows w/100 grain fieldtips. These will be my hunting arrows.

I think I'm gonna really like this bow. Will gain a little more speed when I up it to 70 pounds. Even more with target arrows...

Damn I like that Dropzone!

The bow feels good and shoots really well. Worlds above my Tenacity (great bow....old faithful) I admit.

My superpeep didn't work out to good as the string was just too thick and we kept having problems with it lining up and such. Oh well...used the stocker (OMG...I'm not used to a hole that big...lol).

I also put on some Limbsaver String Leeches...helped some. I'd still like to tone the noise down a little more...any suggestions???

Anyways...time to sell my Tenacity.

Hey, Welcome aboard.

Glad to see you pick a bow your really psyched about. I'm also glad to see another dz shooter. I love mine.

For getting rid of vibration, What do you have for a stabilizer? any limb savers?

Definitely put Limbsavers on it. Never been too hot on Leeches (I think catwhiskers are just as good -if not better- and are cheaper and more durable), but I'm a big fan of Limbsavers on compounds.

I'm not at all suprised that you like the Buckskin. Looks to me like it's basically the old Hoyt Havoc with ZR200 limbs and updated with the Cam 1/2.

Yeah...I got the Limbsaver String Leeches as the tuner said they are worlds above the other types....I don't know man....literally...lol.

I do have a Stabilizer....its a 5" Tru-Glo Solidifier.

About the limbsavers....I was looking at the Limbsaver Ultras (camo)...big difference??? Must have???

The bow is shooting decent. Now it's just me that's gotta practice with it.

The buckskin is a great bow from what i have seen, i checked one out at the local shop. I also like the timberwolf except for the short brace height. Both felt really good in my hands very comfortable grip, and so light compared to my PSE
