Questions

Bought my new bow today, a Fred Bear TRX, its the 35 3/4 ata length (i think there was a shorter one)

I need to buy an arrow rest, but on that note I am unsure if i should pick carbon arrows or aluminum... my recommended aluminum arrow is 2514, would that fit through a whisker biscuit if i bought one? also, what other rests are good, i have never had trouble pulling arrows off of the rest

2. I have never used a peep sight, i used to anchor on the corner of my mouth when I shot fingers, can I do this again with a release? I prefer to keep it simple, and am not overly excited about peep sights, so I may try it this way, and then see where that takes me...

opinions?

edit: what are some good carbon hunting arrows? and would you recommend 100 or 125 grain broadheads? also, NOT to open the can of worms, I am considering switching to expandables? opinions please?

wisker bisquites ROCK...

arrow.... i woudl get the gold tip, xt hunters from http://www.biggameproshop.com/gold-t...bon-arrows.htm
you cant get the all camo as they are discontinued.

arrow heads.. i like teh muzzys they have always been really really good. i am trying the nap nitrons this season. but as far as teh grain you really need to figure out whats is best for yoru bow. and yoru set up. draw length, poundage let off, speed, and KE that your planning on having. whats yoru goals man?
:D

with yoru release.... your gonna have to decide for yourself you will have to cut the length down or get one that fits nice in your hand. what feels most comfortable. check your pro shop and see what they have to try out.

nice bow by the way. i did shoot that one when i was trying out new bows.

RE: Questions

A 2514!!!!! What poundage are you shooting? I shoot a 2315 out of a 68# bow and I am over spined according to any chart I have seen. My bow seems to shoot better with an over spined arrow. I shoot with a whisker biscuit and I wouldn't use any othe rest. It is the perfect hunting rest (IMHO).

RE: Questions

Carbon Express Terminator Selects if you're on a budget...but, if you want the BEST carbon arrow on the market look at the Carbon Express CX line. no better carbon arrow made. Whisker Biscuit is great rest. i shoot 75 grain heads even though im pulling 65 lbs right. most guys shoto 100's. but 75's were perfect for my set up. muzzy's are good heads, what im shooting. i would use a peep sight. really helps. i anchor at the corner of my mouth with a kisser button and then i anchor teh string across my nose.
