Scent Blocker Suits

Has anyone used any scent blocker products? In particular I am thinking about purchasing the scent blocker 3-D leafy suit for the fall season. A lot of my friends use them and they like them a lot. I just want an honest opinion about them. Should I purchase one or not?

PSE, Although this was only my second year archery hunting, I attribute seeing more deer this year to my Scent Blocker Plus suit more than any other factor. I DID have better stands and DID understand the sport better. But, I saw more deer this year than I ever have in archery or gun season. I had deer downwind of me that never scented me and I even called in a buck from downwind to 20 yards. I'm a sweaty person and I think my suit did a great job. Any suit you get is gonna be hot on you in warm weather. You just have to take your time getting to your stand. I leave my jacket unzipped and hat off until I'm in stand. I have the Ultra Lite Scent Blocker Plus system and I think it did the job. Check online prices as well as catalog prices sometimes they have deals online that catalog customers don't see.

PSE, I've used the ScentBlocker Plus 3-D Leafy-Lite suit for the past two years. No question this is a quality product that not only helps with scent containment, but is well designed(no leaves on inside of arms or chest) and provides some great camo for bowhunting. However the price is a bit steep(I paid $270 for mine) and if you don't have a liner suit to wear now, I might suggest you consider that first. I wear my Scent-Lok liner system much more than my SB Leafy-Lite suit, as I can layer over the top of my liner suit for cold weather...I can only get a couple layers of thermals under my 3-D suit...not very warm for bowhunting Iowa in November! It does come in handy though during early season and while bowhunting out of state in mild temps. Hope this helps...

Thank you for the input. I appreciate it very much. Cabela's has the 3-d suit on sale now for about 250.00.

PSE Phoenix. I also agree that the Scentblocker suits from Robinson labs are great. I own 2 suits, one is the Ultralite and the other is a brand new Featherlite I just bought a few weeks ago. It is really a great suit. It is windproof, waterproof and bugproof. If you want to send me an e-mail I will give you the info on where I got my suit at and the price will surprise alot. You can go to www.robinsonlabs.com , and on the first page click on the Featherlite suit, and it will give you all the details of the suit. Then if you are interested you can e-mail me at [email protected]. I found a really great deal on this suit. Me and 5 of my buddies each ordered one. It is alot cheaper than the Cabela's deal for $250.00 and it is a brand new suit!! I will send you the info if you are interested.

The scent blocking suits help a lot, but you still need to play the wind, I do not care what the ad says. Remember every time you exhale you are putting your scent in the air!

When you go to their web site click on the top there and read the info.

I guess Scent-lok has filed suit against Robinson Labs trying to block them from selling any more suits.

Scent Blocker suits are great , however I would warn you that the 3-D Leafy Lite suit is not that durable. I have owned Scent Blocker, Scent Lok, and Gore Supprescent. In my honest opinion the Supprescent is the best, the way it is made makes it very durable and the carbon will not fall out. Good Luck
