Am I overspined?

Alright, here's the deal. I've been shooting axis 340's that are 28" long with a 100 grain point. I haven't seen any problems at all, they are flying great. But the easton chart shows that I should be shooting the 400's. My FOC levels are good at 9.4 (100 gr. point) and 10.7 (115 gr. point). Is this a problem? please help. They are shooting at 272fps. Thanks.

I'm assuming you've shot your broadheads and are getting good flight?? If so, don't fix it...it ain't broke. :) I personally prefer stiffer arrows anyhow. Charts are great, but not gold.

Thanks guys, I went out and shot my 100 gr. 4-blade stingers they flew great. Also I shot two stingers, and 2 field points at 20, 30 and 40 yards. All the arrows grouped together. I was happily suprised. Thanks again for the input

Being overspinned isn't much of problem for anyone shooting a mechanical release. Personally, I shoot overspinned arrows on purpose. It you shoot arrows that are border-line in spine, any variation in spine among your dozen, will have a greater negative affect on your arrow groupings.
