deer population

ive got an area with alot of mature bucks but doesn't seem to be alot of rubs or scrapes, does that mean do you think too many does in the area and the bucks don't have to search that hard to find a doe? i got alot of bucks on camera and took a 10 pointer 2 years ago 130 7/8, and an 8 pointer last year 125, and my partner took a 8 pointer last year 142 7/8, and a 10 2 years ago, so i have plenty of bucks in the area?

I'm by no means and expert but my thoughts of no rubs yet is that they just arnt trying to get the velvet off yet. At least here they are still growing. And to my understanding it they rub them to get the velvet off probally b/c it itches. Thats my guess.

Even though your doe to buck ratio is outta whack like mine is here in ohio with an 8 doe to one buck! Per square mile!!! Bucks still do the scraping, the rubbing, and sparring, they have too much testosterone not to. They are probably in a area u might have over looked, or doing it on someone elses property and all the bucks move to your spot to corale the does........my 2 cents, put the check in the mail

Kill the does early. I like a buck to doe ratio around 1 buck for every 2 does.
