when you robinhood one
I agree. I shot for years with alum and never robin hooded. Then I switch to carbon and smack, loose 2 arrows. Dang things just shoot too straight.:D

6.5,

To each their own........Me, I really don't understand why anyone wouldn't shoot them! They are more durable and they fly flatter. I've been shooting Gold Tip's for 5 years and love them. With that said, you should spin check each arrow before you buy them. Then, you should cut each end of the arrow to specified lengths. Doing so, will produce perfectly straight arrows that will last you many many seasons. If the previous tips do not produce straight arrows, you should send the bad ones back to the arrow manufacturer for replacement. Gold Tip is great and will ship you new arrows within days.

carpmaster is mistaken , i have killed a pile of deer with carbons to include a 240 lb dressed out 12 -point from Ohio which scored 147 0/8 gross 139 2/8 net P&Y.

I was stubborn and wouldn't change for a long time. Last year, I made the switch and couldn't believe their consistensy and durability. Just hate the cost...But I'll get over it.

Twisted...that's called sarcasm. LOL:D

In my experience with the average carbon they aren't as consistent weight, spine, straightness, and flight. But I still shoot 'em, ACC's that is.

Way to expensive, throw to tight of groups, and they don't bend like alum. and they are way to durable. And plus the deer prefer alum. those darn carbon arrows stick to much as they go thru their lungs, pretty uncomfortable for them.
