Gold Tip arrows

I have a dozen Gold Tip pro hunters. They shoot really great and are pretty fast. My problem is that I don't have alot of confidence in carbon arrows. I have tried just about every brand. These seem about the best as far as straightness and weight. With the other brands I've only had 1 passthrough. I know I shouldn't base it on passthroughs but when I shoot deer with aluminums they have all been passthroughs. Here's my setup: Hoyt Cybertec-29" draw 70lbs, Gold Tip pro hunters-28" I talk to other people that shoot carbons and they say they have nothing but passthroughs with carbon arrows. What do y'all think?

With that setup, you should be getting passthroughs every time as long as your not hitting bone. The only reason I can think that you may not is because your bow isn't tuned to shoot the goldtips. I shoot a similar setup and have had nothing but passthroughs. Take the time to get your bow tuned perfectly then give it another shot.

You should have plenty of Ke to pass through. I agree unless you're hitting bone a properly tuned bow should blow right thru. Have you retuned your bow after switching to carbon arrows? If your bow is not tuned to the arrows you could be wasteing a lot of energy. I'd retune the bow to the carbon arros and you should be fine.

Make sure you take your bludgens off the end of your arrow and replace them with broadheads next time you hunt you should get pass through's then.
