Boots...whats your flavour?

So folks...what do you say?

Lets give the type, the brand name and the mechanics.

For me...

Type: Rubber
Brand Name: WGAF (Who gives a #$@$!)
Mechanics: Full camo boot with a steel shank for support.

Used to like Danners, but have had some problems with the lining. Now about anything with a soft sole for stillhunting.
Use rubber irrigation boots for hunting whitetails if it ain't cold, otherwise Sorel packs.

I wear Lacrosse burly's rubber does not put down a scent trail like leather can. And because my feet are size 13 my boots are 18" tall. When I am with my friends hunting and we come to a creek I just walk across while they have to look for a place to cross. My area is nothing but hills and swampy creek bottoms these boots are perfect for this terrain. And the air bob sole looks like finger tips and this gives much better traction on hills than any vibram soles.

Early season I wear scent lok sneakers from Cabelas. Not so much for the scent lok feature but because they're light and comfortable in the hot weather. If there is heavy due or something I throw on a pair of goretex socks. Later I mostly wear some Rocky Super Brutes. I have the knee high rubber packs that I usually wear a couple times a year,,,, but really they make my feet sweat TOO much. The rubber may not leave a scent..... but when your feet are sweating there's a lot of STINK comes out the tops of those boots. Just wiggle your toes and you can almost see the "green stink" coming over the tops of the boots. RUBBER is OVER-RATED. When they come up with a way for your feet not to sweat in them they may have something. Personnally I think rubber has it's own stink. If I can smell it what makes people think a deer can't. Last time I checked.... GOODYEAR wasn't a natural odor found in the forest.
