i know that broadheads can affect arrow flight but how much is the tuning going to alleive the problem?

Think of the blades as feathers that steer the arrow from the wrong end!!!
You want them perfect.

Follow the link I provided and check out some of the other pages. It will show you how important tuning really is.

if your broadheads are afecting your arrow flight the first thing you should do is if you are shoting a 3 blade fixed broadhead make sure your vanes or feathers ar lined up perfectly with the blade on the broadhead if they do not line up put a little bit of heat on your arrow were the insert to losen the glue and the insert will teun so you can line it up once you have it lined up dont shot it right away give the glue about an hour to re harden it works great.

but if you shoot mechanical broadheads they shouldent have any effect on you arrow flight. i have 2 bows one i shoot 100gr. mechanical broadheads on and the other i shoot 75gr. fixed broadheads and i had to line the 75gr. one up with the vanes for the arrow to fly strait

This statement is an old wives tale and is totally bogus.
For example how are you going to line up 2 or 4 blade heads?

The trick is to have zero wobble with a broad head attached to check for wobble use a spin tester.

The advice on 5shots web page is true and correct after all he is the broad heads guru on not only this forum but many others as well.

lining the blades on the broadheads up with the vanes worked for me

What it probably did was take away wobble or misalignment you had. What i mean is, when you turned your heads to line them up with the vanes, you took the misalignment and wobble out and it straightened up your flight... As for them broadhead blades having to be lined up with the vanes is total BS....
IT DONT MATTER

RE: when tuning broadheads

Vanes don't have to line up with the blades...the heads do need to spin straight though.
