Hows abouts Northern Mexico.

Stay close to the beach - then look for some hunting close by. They have some big ranches with monster whities running around.

I like the Hawaii idea. For the trouble and expense of a trip like that I would want to try some hunting that I can't normally do. Keep her up late with the local night life and you can go huntin in the mornings and be back before she wakes up. The smart move then would be to spend the rest of the day with her. Sounds like a fun trip, if you can pull it off.

Does your wife hunt? If not isn't a bit disrescrtful to worry about hunting on your anniversary trip?

There was a good article about goat hunting in Hawaii in the "Big Game Special 2004" of Bowhunter magazine.

What about La.? New Orleans (Bourbon ST., French Quarter)[:-], AWESOME duck hunting, have some really nice cypress swamp tours, BEST fishing in the country, the rut is on in most areas (yes--you CAN shoot a nice buck in La.!), jazz, casino's, night life, world-famous restaurants and quisine - Guiding is BIG buisness here -- you shouldn't have trouble taking your wife on a guided sportsman's paradise tour! Not to mention the SHOPPING she could do!! Come on down -- guaranteed to break the wallet.

I keep trying to convice my wife to come with me on one of those coastal Alaskan Black Bear hunts done from a houseboat. She would get to CRUISE around on the houseboat, eat fresh crab and halibut all day, while taking in all that great Alaskan scenery. While she does that, I'd go to the shoreline and try to whack a black bear. Note how I stressed the word CRUISE (women love to hear that word). I haven't sold her on it yet, however.

Excellent suggestion. I'll look into that.

Yes, I like this idea too.

I don't run, but she will. I don't shot much, she certainly will. All the exhibits and stuff - me following her. I just thought a coupld of afternoons might be really cool to do.
