not quite sure, I think it is its own company. go to google and type in "slick trick broadheads" The fist hit that comes up is a review from huntinfo.com. The third hit is slicktrick.net, thats where you can order them. The days of tuning in broadheads and getting flyers are OVER! you screw them on and go. Let me know if you need anything else. Bill Bell Thunderhead is also a good head, but they do require tuning for sure.

RE: What are the best heads out that shoot like fieldpoints?
I went on broadheadtests.com and you have to pay 20.00 a year for the site to get in. I have narrowed it down to the magnus siger 4-blade and the Rockey Mountain-Snyper mechanical head.

RE: What are the best heads out that shoot like fieldpoints?
There are a lot of fixed blade broadheads that impact where field points will. However, even the best flying broadhead out there will not fly true if your bow is not tuned properly and your arrows are not leaving your bow straight.
Some great broadheads have come to the market in the past few years. Slick tricks, montecs, stingers, RM turbo and ironhead, Wasp Boss, NAP nitron, innerlock, razor caps, silver flame. All of these can be found by going to Bowjackson's web site and visiting the different manufacturers sites. Personally, I bought some slick tricks after last season and have not seen a better flying boradhead. I have not tried all of the ones listed abouve but I have tried a good number of broadheads and so far these fly the best for me. |
RE: What are the best heads out that shoot like fieldpoints?
I am a big mechanical fan, only because I am rather new to bowhunting, 6 years now and haven't had the time to get enough confidence and time to finely tune fixed blades to my standards. That being said, the Snyper is a great head, very accurate and right in line with my field points, however I am a big Wasp Jackhammer fan. Again, they are true to my field points and the cutting diameter of 1 3/4" is by far one of the largest. Works very well and worth looking into.
Good luck. Kelly |

Ah, from experience you ask? Then I will tell you. The broadheads that fly most like your field points are those that you take the time and effort to tune to shoot like your field points. It ain't rocket science.

I was really impressed with the flight from my rocket ultimate steel 75's, but muzzys always flew good too.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: A lot of companies say their broadheads fly like field points. How good will the HyperShock fly compared to my field tips? A: An independent test group using the most accurate bow-firing machine (the X-RING machine from Pro-Release) tested the HyperShock to be the most accurate broadhead they ever tested. At 25 yards, the HyperShock actually hit the very same hole as the field points! Not just once, but over and over again. The HyperShock will amaze you with its accuracy, repeatability and quiet flight. Many advertise their broadhead flies like a field point, the X-RING Machine proved otherwise. If you want the best most accurate head this is it! WWW.aftershockarchery.com |

RE: What are the best heads out that shoot like fieldpoints?
I find that when I get good paper tune with the field tips. I can shoot a lot of the smaller fixed blades right with the filed tips. I find any of the ones measureing around one inch in diameter fly well. When I go to the larger ones It requires some more tinkering to get the flight and impact point where I want it. the reason is the larger the three blades heads are, the more they want to plane. I find the smaller three blade, four blade, broadheads easier to tune than the large three blade heads. I find two blade heads easier to tune than the larger three blade heads.
I also find it easier to tune these things at the slower speeds. For example it is easier for me to tune things a 260 feet per second than it is to tune things at 290 feet per second. I hunt with a heavy enough arrow to slow the bow down to around 260 feet per second, I find the bow extremely quiet at that speed. I find with that speed and the weight of the arrow, the kinetic energy is more than a lighter faster arrow. I have no issue with the trajectory at 260 feet per second. It all works for me quite effectively. I would for you too.. |
