Pop up blinds with shoot thru windows
 

Has anyone used the blinds such as double Bull with the shoot thru windows? I was wondering how it effects arrow flight and also if a mechanical broadhead would work. I am going to the Outdoor channels hunting show at the Raleigh, NC fair grounds tomorrow and want to check one out.

I have an ameristep penthouse tsc blind with the shoot through mesh windowsn. Unfortunately i havent had a chance to use it yet. My friend that i bought it off of says he shot through the windows with no ill effects. I watched a hunting show the other day that was using the shoot through mesh on their blind they said it is a must if you plan on using the blind in the same location day after day on deer because they can become weery off the blacked out windows unless there is something there to reflect some light. I wish i could be more help, but i will let you know how mine works this season.

I have an ameristep doghouse with shoot through windows. It has a tag that says Fixed broadheads only mechanicals my open to soon. I just bought my first bow but shot two turkeys with shot gun from my blind.Opened window both birds under 15 yards. sammy 617

I've shot several types of broadheads in shoot through mesh in the double bull blinds, ranging from muzzy's and magnus to first cut Mechanicals and the gold tip terminator. I shot the heads that were not supposed to be shot because of deflection, and even they worked fine.

I have killed several deer and hogs shooting through the mesh with vortex minimax steel solids, rocket wolverines and rocket steelheads. The guys from double bull use steelheads and miniblasters all the time.

I have bought some mesh and velcro to add my own shoot through window to both of my blinds that do not have them. Would you recommend a nice tight fit or loose?

Make sure the mesh is relatively tight.;)

i have a t2 by db and i have shot through the mesh...no problem. they say to use 2 bands if u are using an expandable like a rocket. pull the mesh tight and u can use safety pins..u dont need velcro
