How many stands do you hunt?

Simple question, How many stands do you hunt? If you hunt from a climber, how many trees have you established as your spots?

I have two hang on stands and am thinking about picking up a climber. The two hang on stands are my primary hot spots but I'd like the freedom of a climber to have the ability to just set up where if feels right or where sign dictates.

I have a ladder stand, 1 strap on stand, 1 LARGE tree that I just stand up in on a HUGE limb, and 2 ground blinds that I set up in several spots.

I have close to 15 (230 acres) treestands on my WI property and my hunting partner has over 20 on the MI (120 acres) property. Every year we add a few more.

I have 4 ladder stands, but I move them around to different spots once in a while. I would say that I have about12 different spots established.

Anywhere from 20 to 30 trees are set up for my climber any given year.

I have one climber and countless trees I hunt from. I really have multible properties I can hunt but do to time constraints, last year I hunted about six of my favorite locations. It's a shame when financial responsiblities has to get in the way of having fun.

I have 1 climber (10 to 12 trees I use with my climber), 4 lock on stands and 3 ladder stands. I will be adding 2 more ladder stand as soon as I have time to build them.

I have 5 lock ons that stay up year round and roughly 30 trees that I hunt from a climber. Some of those will be the same trees this year and some will be different but I probably average 25- 40 different climber setups per year.

I am not sure if your asking how many stand locations a person hunts or the number of tree stands he owns.

As far as treestands go I own 22 fixed position stands with a new on on the way, a treesuit, two harness type stands, and 8 permanent stands I have built and maintain.

I suppose I hang close to fifty or more treestands every year although that is just a guess.

I use portable lonewolf stands with sticks that strap to it, I also use there climbers. I rarely hunt a tree more than twice in a season. I always hunt the best, freshest sign, and I am usually rewarded for the extra effort of setting up each hunt. The big bucks will smell that you have been there, no matter what you do to cover the scent. The trick is to kill them the 1st time in the tree.

I have 14 hang ons, 4 ladder stands and 1 climber. I have sevearl woods with lots of sites. I move the ladder stands around as needed during the season and also use the climber once in a while. The hang ons are all in very established areas that have produced for years. I just really started using the ladders in the past few years and now realize that it is the way I will be leaning towards from now on. Much quicker and easier setting them up throughout the season. All these years and all that work. Oh well, I was younger then!!:D

I have one Lock-On stand per 2,000 acres. I have an elk stand and a deer stand. During the summer I cut out places in certain trees in "hot spots" I think may produce a deer and move my stand when I feel neccessary. The elk stand usually stays put though.

I hunt 5 or 6 farms regularly and try to have as many potential trees ready as I can so that I can fine tune my satand location based on wind direction, activity levels, etc.

Probably have 40-50 potential trees on the farms combined.

I have 7 basic locations on 112 acres that I position myself on. In July or August I place a stand in each location, where it stays until February or so.

Good gracious... I have no way of knowing. We have trees we'll go back to 3 or 4 times a year, but usually I try to climb a different tree all the time. If I do go back to one it's usually a week or two apart. Say I hunt 55-60 days a year. Probably plop my butt in 40 different trees.

RE: How many stands do you hunt?

10 ladder stands and multiple sites to set them up in. We usually set up about 6 to 8 to start with. We then hold back at least 2 stands to be put up in areas where we may see something worth shooting.
