I had my 1st bow for the first 4 full seasons of hunting and I just picked up a new one for my 5th year. I'd like to get a new one more often, but the checkbook just can't take that kind of beating. :D

Usually every 3-4 years. I can't stand to not have the latest and greatest gear, unfortunately!

RE: How often..................???????????

Bought mine (a Pro-Line) in 1989, and can't put it down. Wouldn't trade it. It's probably killed 30+ deer, 3 bears, a couple turkeys and lots of small game in that time.

I buy a new bow every year.I always like the way a new bow shoots after I get it tuned up.Also it seems they keep shooting flatter and flatter.

I've had my present bow about 3 years.

The one before that I hunted with for 8 years.

The one before that I hunted with 20 years.[&:] Yes.. I still have it.

I average about 7-8 years between bow purchases. With my new one this year I'll try and get 10 out of it.

RE: How often..................???????????

It depends. I went through a stage where I bought a new one every year for several years and the last one I had for two years before I bought the one that I have now, which I just bought this year. I expect to keep this one for some time.

This year will be my 4th year with my Golden Eagle Evolution. Am currently looking into getting a new bow for next year. Should be fun shopping...leaning towards a Parker Phoenix...but who knows.

I usually get the new mathews each year and give it a try but I always find a way to hold on to my old Q1 that bow is a shooter I put my lx up half way through last year and picked up the old Q1 again. Currently going with the legacy because it is so smooooooooth!

RE: How often..................???????????

Many of you may have read my post a couple of weeks ago, explaining that I planned to get my 15 year old PSE tuned up for the upcoming season. After reading this post, I'm getting a strong urge to get a new one. I just have a problem draining $100 into a bow for one season. Now I'm thinking I should just get something new...
