I was Getting Some New Arrows Today At my Bow Shop, I Wanted Just Out Of curiosty to see how much my draw weghit was I own a Browning Rage 2003 model It was supposed to max out at 65lbs And it shocked me that i took a 35 yrd shot at a bag target BRAND NEW and near but went through it. It turns out 75LBS!!! Im 15yr old 5'8 260 I didnt realize my own strenghth but Dang man.

my bow was set for 45 lbs turns out it was set at 55. im 15 also

may be strong but it seem you may be a lil overweght if you are getting into deer hunting you need to be in some kind of shape or you could have a heart attack.........be carefull;)

im 15 and about 135 pounds and i cranked the limbs on my parker ul 31 down to what i thaught would be about 63 pounds and it ended up being about 71 and i always love to shoot my bow every day for practice but i definately found out why my shoulder was hurting so bad after practice.because the thing was at 71 pounds!!!

I'm 16, 175 pounds and shoot 74 pounds...Shootr, I would be careful if you keep shooting your bow at 71 pounds...You should work your way up to that weight if you're not used to it. It could mess up your shoulder and other stuff pretty bad if you put too much strain on it.

Question for all -
Just curious, pulling all that weight, how is your accuracy?
Do you think it could be better with 10lbs less?

My accuracy is great...I can shoot 2-3 inch groups at 20 yards and around 3-3.5 at 25. I feel that with my setup I can adequately kill the animals I hunt cleanly and humanely. I practice almost everyday and shoot year round.

Why in the heck are we bragging about how much weight we can pull on a bow, why don't we brag about the size of the deer on the wall? I will tell you that I can pull a lot more than what I shoot, but that doesn't matter, when that daddy walks out I want to be more than confident that I am going to get my bow back and get off a good and lethal shot.
