Insight Communications is our local cable provider and (according to their web site) they don't offer the Outdoor Channel either. I wrote them and emailed them last month, but I'm sure nothing will come of it. I know it's offered on the dish, but by the time I hook up four receivers, and pay the extra fee for local programming, your talking an extra $30/month just for the Outdoor Channel...I love the hunting shows, but I don't have THAT much time on my hands.

How much do you pay for your cable?

I can actually get Dish Network with OUTDOOR CHANNEL, cheaper than cable or for the same price...

Anyone with Comcast and Outdoor Channel?

I looked all over thier webpage for any information but found no references to the Outdoor Channel. One thing i did find was that the Outdoor Life Network is affiliated with Comcast so that makes me think the chances of them offering The Outdoor Channel are slim and none.

I have been researching the dishes also. Based on what I have found so far i think i can save money by going to a dish.

gutshot, are you sure you don't have Outdoor Life Network (OLN). I use to have Charter and I sent them a letter and they didn't reply, So I switched to the dish and now I have the Outdoor Channel. It was cheaper with only two recievers and all I had to give up was cable in my room which I never watched anyways.

For about $40/mo, I could get a package that includes 120 channels (I think it's 120), but to have multiple receivers, you need to pay an extra fee. Then to add local stations, it's another $5 or so a month. I haven't exactly exhausted all my possibilities for changing back over to a dish, but I would need to have four different receivers, which causes a bit of a problem. I currently pay around $42/mo for my cable. It's not that big of a deal, but it would be nice if my cable provider (Insight Communications) had The Outdoor Channel. If there are any Insight subs out there that get the Outdoor Channel, post a reply. Heck, I could have just overlooked it.

Nuge: I'm positive because the OLN is on channel 32 and The Outdoor Channel is channel 33. Dude I never miss in pursuit night.:D
