Well as usuall - I am the Odd man out[]

Because I can........and because I have absolutely no desire to shoot one[][:-]
Well I bashed your hopes[:@]......Your "stress" may not be my stress. I hunt public battle grounds.

With all the stress on QDM these days I certainly hope we don't see ANY posts from folks that wouldn't shoot a doe
HOWEVER, I would like to see plenty of folks that wouldn't kill a yearling buck though!!!
Seriously, I doubt it in todays world of educated deer management hunters
I haven't met a bowhunter yet that wont shoot does

Well, since I can only get one tag a year if I am lucky, I will only shoot bucks. Of course thats all the tag allows for. Even if the tag did say either sex, I would still only take a buck until multiple bag limits were allowed. There are a few doe tags every year, but most are on private land only and the few that are for public land hunts are just as hard to draw as a buck tag is. Now, if there was a large population where it was important for does to be harvested, I would surely take as many as are allowed
Oh yeah, and this year, (after killing 2 does and 2 forkie bucks on five tags in six years), I will only shoot mature deer from now on. I decided that if the deer doesn't have antlers to the tips of his ears and sports 3 points per side, I won't shoot it. The population around here is in pretty sad shape, so the management strategy is a little different than back east. BTW I hunt mulies in Nevada

I was raised to only shoot bucks. I will only take what I have tags for. I have let many does walk in hopes later in the season it will bring in that BIG ONE in with her. I will take one in late season if I need to fill the freezer, but have not in 10 years. Its just the way I was raised.

Well where I hunt in WI we are in earn a buck. Even if that were not the case we always shoot does. Last year 6 does and one buck. Sure have been eating good in the off season. This year we are looking at shooting at least another 6 does. I am hoping for more like 8 myself.

I haven't shot a doe in my 45 years of deer hunting. Last year was my 1st year bowhunting and I passed on 5 doe (and, by the way, it's "doe" not "does") within 20 yds. So I guess I won't shoot a doe unless I find one injured or in distress.

Back in the days when we were only allowed one deer per year, I held out for a buck only--except for the first few years when I was still a novice.
Now that we can shoot all the does we want in some areas--and the meat seems to be a little bit better--I gladly take does. I fill my doe tags early and then hold out for the wall hanger bucks. If the season's winding down, the rut is over and I haven't seen any big bucks, I'll use my remaining tags on does. Last year, on the next to last day of the season, I passed an easy, broadside shot at a small 8 point and took a smaller doe following him at twice the distance. I'm hoping he'll give me a shot when he's big enough for my personal standards.
