rangefinder

I would like some info on RangeFinders. My question is this after buying my new bow I am a little short on money for some other things that i wanted to get for this years archery season would a golf rangefinder work for hunting? If not would anyone have a used 1 that they would be willing to sell for a reasonable amount of $ ?

I bought a golf range finder and tried using it for hunting, I wasn't very happy at all, for me, it didn't work very well and I ended up buying a bushnell laser range finder on ebay.

I thought that most golf range finders used a method of measuring the flag pole to determine distance from the hole.
