Props for my new shop.

I have to give a shout out for my new pro shop, Big Springs Trout and Sport Shop.

With pro shops dropping out of buisiness in the CWD areas of WI., I was is need of a new dealer for some warranty work. What I found was a rare gem in Leo and his wife at Big Springs.

I walked into his shop about 2 weeks ago with a very hurt Bowtech. After disassembling and inspecting, Leo was told by Bowtech to send the whole bow back to the factory. The wounded bow was then re-assembled and shipped UPS the same day I dropped it off. By the time it returned, Leo had put up with numerous calls from me on its status. Not once did he give me the impression that I was bothersome.

The bow came back on Friday. 2 weeks to the day I dropped it off. After the drive up on Saturday to pick it up, I inquired what the cost would be. $15.00! I was shocked, stunned, and smileing. Shipping charge only. I was expecting an hours worth of labor at the minimum. He also handed me my old LimbSavers that I had cut off to re-install with my extra set of stickies. Had he trashed those, I surely would have purchased another pair.

So if your over East of Mauston and North of the Dells, stop in and check out Big Springs. They are just S. of the hwy 82/13 intersection. Once your jaw returns to its upright position after viewing the Pope and Youngs(7 or so) on the wall, tell him Kevin sent ya.

It's always uplifting when you run into a gem like this!!!!! Sounds like good business practice to me! Make a customer happy, and they come back!

I haven't actually been to their shop yet, but here in the DFW area a shop that seems to be talked about a lot more is Outdoor Pro Shops on the Richardson/Garland border. I have bought 2 Vital Bow Gear Rests from him and on the first one he offered to meet me halfway and hand deliver it on his way home. Also, on the second one I ordered, he called to make sure it wasn't a duplicate order and even gave me both his home and work number. Now that's the kind of customer service you don't see very much any more.

Good shops are hard to find indeed!

Mike, is that a new place in Richardson/Garland? Where is it and what line bows do they carry?

Swamp, I really don't know how long they've been around. I was turned on to them by another member on here. Looks like they carry Hoyt, Pearon, Reflex, Browning & MMMMM.....MMMMM.... you know the M brand. ;)

Here's their website.
