T_in_PA2 this is a new board from pixcontroller. its smaller and they say draws less current it can run for 8 months. looks like is the best one now for digitals. im going to try it and see how it works,

IMO I would buy the hh1 or brain unit from hillhopper at hagshouse. I have both boards, they will run off 1 nine volt for 3-4 months. combine this with sony p32 camera that uses 2 AA batteries and you got one hecka of a unit that isn't a battery hog. the p32 will take about 300-500 pictures for ya on the 2 AA's. Just my 2 cents.

I understand office max has them on sale thru tomorrow for 149.00 the p41 will also work by sony. great camera that is more power efficient than the p32. the next best place is ebay. I wouldn't pay more than 130.00 shipped to your residence though. let me know if I can help you in any way.

So can a person still pull the camera out and use it as a normal camera, or after you wire it up is it a trail camera for life?

pinkys,

Yes, there's a small plug added onto the camera to plug into the sensor board. You can still use it like a regular camera.
