pendulum or fixed sights??
I have always had fixed sights. I just bought a new Matthews Outback and I am thinking of putting pendulum sights on it?? Go for it? And what is a good sight?

RE: pendulum or fixed sights??
I love using my Red Dot Scope. A friend of mine loves the Pendulum sights. If I have change sights before I go to Idaho I will probably go to the Pendulum.

RE: pendulum or fixed sights??
I shot a pendilum for a couple of years a long time ago ! And I don't see anything wrong with them......the old ones were noisy.....but I don't think the newer ones are supposed to be !
Now a days .....with the speeds of the new bows..... I just see no need for one ! But that is a personal preference ! I can easily shoot to 30 yrds with a 20 yrd pin with very little adjustment ! |
RE: pendulum or fixed sights??
Before you make up your mind you need to consider your hunting style. If your a treestand only person than a pendulum will work great for you. If you hunt from the ground only I would use a fixed pin sight. If you do both you can go with one of the new "Hybrid" style of sights like the Trophy Ridge Mantis with V-Drive. It works as a pendulum and a fixed pin slider.

TAKE A LONG LOOK AT THE SAVAGE QUICK CLICK PENDULUM. YOU CAN SHOOT IT FROM THE GROUND OR TREE. SOUNDS HARD TO SETUP BUT IS A PIECE OF CAKE. IT WILL DO JUST WHAT IT SAYS. BEEN SHOOTING ONE FOR TWO YEARS AND SWEAR BY IT. TRITIUM PIN STAYS LIT 24/7.
