RE: Y'ever wonder...
Ya see, it is questions such as this that drive some to drink. ;)
Seriously though, I think about this type of thing all the time. I try not to as I believe it leads me to moving around too much instead of just staying put.....but I am sure it happens all the time. :( |
RE: Y'ever wonder...
I know it happens from time to time. Last year while walking to my stand I was 3/4 of the way past 3 doe that were beddeed down 20 yards off the trail. I can think of other instancesd when I've walked past deer heading to my stand.
Now once I'm on stand the game changes. I do not think any slip by with in bow range once I'm situated on stand. I feel I'm just to vigilent to have that happen. |
RE: Y'ever wonder...
A similar thought crossed my mind a couple of years ago. I wondered how my odds would go up if I stayed on stand a half hour later in the mornings......and got on stand a half hour earlier in the evenings. At the end of the season it turned out to be "a ton of half hours". I pretty much added several days to my season just by doing that one thing.

RE: Y'ever wonder...
No not really. I am sure they sneak buy out of rage where you could have only caught glimpses of them but it's not something that I worry about. What i do think about is how many big bucks have come in and seen me or smelled me and skirted me because of it.
