mathews ovation?
I have looked at a number of bows and have pretty well settled on the ovation. I am sure there are people on both sides of the fence, but I would like to hear any negative feed back you might have. I am planning to use this as my primary hunting bow. My target shooting is strictly to get ready for hunting season. I am not a competitive shooter.

RE: mathews ovation?
Kansas,
I own an Ovation. I feel it is the smoothest shooting compound bow that I have owned in over 35 years of archery. I personally beleive that you should hunt with the bow that you shoot the best ! The Ovation is fine for all types of archery (hunting, 3-D, target).
Good Luck,
Bmott

I am also interested in everyone's feedback. My proshop loves the outback but tried to push me toward the Ovation b/c of my long draw (30.5-31) and my desire to own something that might be more steady. He felt the ovation was a better choice than the outback. I did not like the ata so i never pulled the trigger on either, yet.

I ordered the ovation. I have a 31.5 draw length and I don't see any disadvantage to the longer ata. I am more concerned about being able to shoot where I aim. I THINK it is the best bow for me. Wish me luck.
