New Hunting Spot
I just recieved permission to hunt a spot in Washingtons Crossing Pa. Its in bucks county, which is like the Illinois of the state. Well any it is a pretty small peice of property its only about 300 yards wide and 800 yards long. On one side it has a 15 acre hay field with a house with at the very end. On the Right side there is a ridge that has a creek at the bottom with many trails leading along it. Also on the other side of the creek is large chunk of woods. Any suggestions for hunting a small peice propety like this one.

RE: New Hunting Spot
Well, I would think the first thing would be to scout it really early. Like now and get the stands hung in the next couple weeks, then get out of there until the season comes in and the wind is right. As small a piece as it is, you'll definately want to play the wind just right before hunting it. I hunt alot of smaller land tracts, you can definately get results as long as you are mindful of your scent and don't spook the deer while entering and exiting the stand.
Good luck!! Slice 79 days to the MD opener!! |
