RE: arrow weight help
Then people began griping that they advertise IBO speeds but won't warranty their bows at IBO minimums. Some manufacturers said okay and did the warranty. Now folks are griping about bow prices. Well, now you gotta pay for that 5 grains per pound warranty. |
RE: arrow weight help
So, please do not say IBO recommends shooting 5 grains per pound. Okay? In all serousness, thanks for explaining that! |
RE: arrow weight help

RE: arrow weight help
So will shooting 5 grains per pound for a long time wear your bow?

RE: arrow weight help
O.K. Deer Hunter, to sum it up for you since your shooting at 70 lbs. your total arrow weight should be 420 grains ( 70 x 6 gr. ppw ). Total arrow weight includes inserts, fleching, tips, nocks and arrow. Now if your draw length is greater then 30" you should increase to 7 gr. ppw. but the best way to calulate your proper arrow weight is to go to BowJackson.com. I hope this helps.

ArthurP, great job of explaining this. I just saved it for future use. I hope no copyright laws are involved. :):):)
