Food Plots - Biologic, Full Draw...
I have a couple spots that I was thinking about putting Mossy Oak Biologic Full Draw...
Has anyone tried this product and how did it work... I am putting it down in the river flats, with pretty good soil and moisture!! |
RE: Food Plots - Biologic, Full Draw...
Full Draw: $10 for 2.5 lbs. Its 40% wheat = 1 lb, 50% rape= 1.25 lbs and 10 % other. A pound of rape at www.habitatseeds.com is $1.05, a pound of wheat is .45cents.
I'd buy a sack of wheat at the local store. They can probably get the rape for you but if not try above site, they have lots of mixes too. I mix clover and oats and plant in late september here in Texas. Ladino clover in the wetter areas, arrowleaf clover in the sandy spots. The oats come up quick and give them something green right away, the clover comes on slower. This fall I'm going to try a new "Durana" clover offered by www.penningtonseed.com. Check out that web site. |

If you plan on hunting over the stuff, dont get any clovers. By october, they've become undesirable to the deer unless they have nothing else to eat. Biologic is good for the deer to eat during the summer, but i would go with Buck Forage Oats. The deer just flock to that stuff around October to late November.
