One thing to keep in mind... Once you get the feather stuck on the shaft, it's best to take your thumbnail and run it down each side of the feather's quill to make sure the feather and tape is in full contact with the shaft before indexing the jig to the next fletch.

I do prefer to let my freshly fletched arrows sit overnight before shooting them.

Geez..then why not just use glue?;)

Since I've been hearing some good comments form the feather shooters I may give the tape another try, but I cannot reiterate enough how poor my experience was with it before. I mean I cussed so bad it would make a sailor blush [:@]:D

Side Note: Best investment I made for fletching feathers was the Jo-Jan multi-fletcher. You can zip out a half dozen in about 45 minutes (or course, then they have to dry)

Why not just use glue? 'Cuz I'd rather let my freshly fletched arrows SIT overnight before using them rather than TAKE all night to fletch 'em. ;)

Sorry you had a bad experience with the tape, Jeff, but I've got nothing but good things to say about it. I will say the only brand I've used is Bohning. Don't know about the other stuff.
