How early

Do you get onto stand a hour early? More or less. I get in about 1 1/2 hours early. How about you?

I have no set time to head out. When the first hint of daylight comes I walk out the door.

I'm usually in the woods at first light but I don't stand hunt . If I did I would be there at least a half hour early .

If hunting from a blind, I'm set up 1 hour before shooting light. For spot and stalk, I access my vantage point at least 1/2 hour before shooting light. (legal time = 1/2 hour before sunrise, 1/2 hour after sunset in Saskatchewan).

I try to time it to be set up in my stand with about 10 minutes before I can shoot.

I like to be settled in at least 1/2hr to 45min before dawn begins breaking. That early morning in the dark time when deer are within 5yds of your stand and you can't make them out.I love it.

Usually about 1/2 hour. If I have to make noise getting to the stand then earlier then that. I try to only hunt easy access spots in the morning.
