How painful it is to slap your arm while shooting!!!!!!!!! OUCH!!! Needless to say, I went out and bought an armguard. [:@]

Compound bow? Are you overdrawn? I literally bled until I realized I was only a 28" draw. Now the hair can grow back on my arm!

TWO THINGS CAN CAUSE THAT, TOO LONG OF A DRAW LENGTH AND IF YOU ARE TORQUEING THE BOW WITH YOUR BOW HAND. YOUR BOW ARM SHOULDN'T BE FULLY EXTENDED WHEN YOU ARE AT FULL DRAW IF IT IS YOUR ARM IS GOING TO KEEP LOOKING LIKE THAT UNTIL YOU FIX IT.[:@]

Yep. Its a compound. No, I am not overdrawn. I'm 6'2" with a 29" draw. Wingspan says 29.5. I don't know what happened. It was real windy yesterday and I think I shot too much and started getting a little tired. I must have torqued it. I've been shooting 12 years and never had an arm slap like that. My arm blew up the size of a golf ball.[:@] I think from now on when I start to get tired like that, I'm going to call it a day!

A friend of mine told me that IF his setup is right he won't get arm slap unless HE screws up. And he will not wear an armgaurd because he needs to be reminded of when he screws up.

Bad looking arm, young fella too. Takes a lot harder thump to make a mark like that on some one your age. (judging from the pic)
