weird markings on a deer

i just got my pictures from my stealth cam developed, and there is this one deer in several photos that have what appear to be scratches. all it really is is messed up fur in streaks, no sign of torn flesh, but it sure looks like fur was scratched away. im pretty sure that this deer is a doe just by the way it appears to be making its strides and it has no velvet sprouting yet. does anyone have any idea of what could have caused this? predetors, barbed wire, maybe even sickness (i've seen this one in person before and its hair has always been scrubby and sickly looking).

A picture would help.

I was thinking it might be the shedding of the winter coat untill I read this.

I have the same pictures. Maybe it is from the bucks front legs from the breeding season.

He could have been alittle to agressive;)
