Weird marking
I was out shooting with my new release method (gently squeezing the trigger and letting the release surprise you). I hit one of my arrows and the ink on the other arrow, Carbon Force 200 marking, rubbed off on the vane of the arrow I just shot. I thought it was neat. It had to be because of friction, but I'm not sure. I'm doubt many of you have had the chance of hitting your own arrows, since most shoot Bowtech and Mathews bows, if you know what I mean.:D
Here's a picture of the arrow I hit with the other arrow: ![]() Sorry it's so blurry. Notice the E has paint rubbed off of it in the word "Force". Here's a picture of the arrow the marking rubbed off on: ]P.S. Ignore the excess glue on the arrow...Please.:D |
RE: Weird marking
P.S. Ignore the excess glue on the arrow...Please. Some more practice and robin hoods get to be a pain in the a$$ instead of cool, that is unless you shaft your buddys arrow then it is worth losing an arrow over it. It always ticks them off when you shaft their arrow;) |
RE: Weird marking
man you do got a lot of glue on there . does it affect your flight
|
RE: Weird marking
No, it sure doesn't. I now use way less glue.

RE: Weird marking
Man .. that's a lot of glue.
You've got real clean fletchings though, as you get better they'll start getting more beat up! |
RE: Weird marking
Keep up the good work. you will learn when it start cost you some money not to shoot at your own arrows.:D

RE: Weird marking
Unless one constantly, without fail, shoots tight (contact) groups and "Robin Hoods," the occurrence is commonly referred to as a "fluke" or "accidental." Regardless the occurrence may be a result of superior shooting or accidental, the terms damage and expensive always apply.
Beware of gauging one's shooting form and the tune of the setup on an occasional tight flyer or a "Robin Hood." In most cases for the average shooter, it is a lucky shot and should be considered such and with a grain of salt. |
