some good points in the last few posts. I can't speak to all of the details pointed out but generally, the outback was a standard bow with no shock absorbing features such as string leeches and limbsavers as "add ons". In fact, all of the bows were pulled directly off the shelf and a string loop was added, a boodle rest and all draw weights were set to 60 lbs per the scale. I was actually surprised and impresed at how hard the pro worked to make sure the bow was set up correctly, using levels and other measuring devices. He really was trying to provide a fair comparision from everything i could tell, and I was paying attention, expecting games. Also used the same arrow for all bows though i can't provide the specs.

Boy , some folks get a little testy when someone simply says that a Mmmmm... just performed better than the rest!;)

Btw, the shop I bought my Mathews from also sells Hoyt and PSE. The markups aren't any higher on the Mathews than they are on the others.
